WSBA Taxation Section Annual Luncheon

Please join us for the WSBA Taxation Section annual luncheon, including the presentation of our annual scholarship and election of officers.

This year's speaker is Gabe B. Gartner - a Principal in National Tax Services – Mergers & Acquisitions at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Gabe’s presentation will provide a critical analysis of the history and future of Subpart F that will include an examination of the policy concerns which led to its enactment in 1962, a comparison of Subpart F to the international tax systems of other OECD countries, and a discussion of recent legislative proposals to reform Subpart F introduced by Representative Camp, Senator Baucus, and incorporated in the President's Revenue Proposals. Gabe previously served ad General Manager of Corporate Tax Planning at Microsoft Corporation, and he teaches International Mergers & Acquisitions at the University of Washington School of Law.
